fanpool is a free football pool with three ways to play:

1. Register to play and join or start a league.

2. Register to play and compete against everyone.

3. Play without registering. Click on the "No Registrations" link for the picks sheet. Picks and scores for unregistered players will be deleted weekly (unregistered players do not have cumulative scores throughout the season).

League Play:

Access to different leagues may vary. You must register, and obtain permission from the league manager to join their league. Start your own league for friends and family, or your office pool.

How the game is played:

Picks are against the spread. Players have a choice of Yes or No for each game.
For example: Do you think Baltimore will beat Cleveland by 7 points or more? Yes or No? Baltimore is the favored team, Cleveland is the Underdog and 7 is the point spread.
The picks sheet will have a Yes/No pick for each game of the week.
Players will also make a guess at what the sum of the Monday night score will be, for a tie breaker. For example: if you think the final score for Monday nights game will be 17 to 21, you would type in 38. If players tie with the Yes/No answers, the player with the closest guess to what the sum of the Monday night game score is, will win. It does not matter if the player went over the score or not (this is not The Price is Right).

Scoring:

Scores are determined by the number of correct picks. The Monday night tie breaker does not effect cumulative scores. If there is a tie at the end of the regular season, there will be a tie breaker pool throughout the post season.

Survivor Pool:

Only registered players may participate, as it is a season long pool. You must login to play. Last player alive wins. Rules and instructions can be found on the Survivor Picks page.
